Drawing and Editing Tools are essential components in 2D drafting, enabling precise creation and modification of designs. These tools provide the accuracy and flexibility needed to develop detailed technical drawings efficiently. By mastering these features, users can streamline the drafting process, enhance design clarity, and produce professional-quality plans suited for diverse engineering and architectural projects.
Drawing Tools:
Line (L): Fundamental tool for creating straight segments.
Polyline (PL): Connects lines and arcs as a single editable object, supporting width and curvature variations
Circle (C), Arc (A), Ellipse (EL), Rectangle (REC), Polygon (POL): Basic geometry tools.
Spline, Hatch, Point: For complex curves, area fills, and reference points respectively.
Editing Tools:
Move, Copy, Rotate, Scale: For geometric transformation.
Trim, Extend, Offset, Mirror, Fillet, Chamfer: Advanced modifications and creation of relationships between objects
Erase, Stretch, Break, Explode: For deleting, reshaping, and decomposing objects.
Skill Focus: Practicing command line and ribbon access for these functions, employing object snaps (“O-Snaps”) for accuracy, and using grips for direct geometry manipulation.
